Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian actress and television presenter. She is best known for her role as the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra was the sole daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was 16, she had already been offered a variety of television roles which included the leading role in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. She was praised for her portrayal as a character in Der Tunnel. This paved the way to other memorable roles, including Adolf Hitler's secretariat Traudl Junge.
